Clematis 'Niobe' NIOBE CLEMATIS or VIRGIN'S BOWER

8-10 ft. (Zone 5)  On trellis or similar support.  Best in full sun, and well-drained soil.  Mulch or shade root zone. Very dark ruby-red flowers with ivory anthers that bloom June, August, and September.
