Spiraea nipponica 'Snowmound' SNOWMOUND SPIRAEA

5-6 ft. (Zone 4)  Rounded shrub with stiff stems and bluish-green leaves that turn brilliant shades of red and orange in fall when in full sun.  Stems are loaded with white flowers in late spring.  Tolerant of soils except for very wet areas.  Used in shrub borders, hedging, or foundation plantings.  Very hardy.
