Athyrium niponicum 'Pictum' JAPANESE PAINTED FERN

8-20 in. (Zone 4)  A unique fern with a compact to short creeping habit.  Foliage is green and silvery-gray with a burgundy rachis.  Best color in light shade.  Full sun washes out color.  This little beauty will remain full all summer in moist, well-drained soil.
