Betula nigra RIVER BIRCH

Hardy native birch with exfoliating reddish-brown bark. Bright green summer foliage turns yellow in autumn. Pyramidal growth habit in youth, becoming rounded with age. Does well in partial sun or shade. Fast growth rate. Resistant to Bronze Birch Borer, possibly even immune.
