Buddleia davidi 'Black Knight' BLACK KNIGHT BUTTERFLY BUSH

4-6 ft. (Zone 5)  A vigorous growing, multi-stem plant for the perennial border.  Large flower spikes on new growth from July through September. Flower color is dark purple. Sun.  Die back in northern areas. Trim to 6-10" in spring.
 
General Buddleia

A fast growing upright shrub with somewhat arching branches and green leaves.  May freeze to the ground in northern areas but will grow back and flower that year.  Very soil tolerant and prefers full sun.  Late summer brings long cone shaped panicles of flowers in an array of colors.  Great for butterflies.
