Calycanthus floridus SWEETSHRUB or CAROLINA ALLSPICE

5-7 ft. (Zone 5)  Upright, spreading shrub with glossy, dark green leaves.  Flowers are brownish-red with a spicy fragrance.  Tolerates sun or full shade.
